Licence & operator
Play Canada is the public name of the 50/50 raffle operated by Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia at 1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd, Sarnia, ON N7T 7H4, Canada. The raffle runs under AGCO licence RAF1493441, valid from Aug. 01, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) issues and oversees this licence. All draws, sales, and prize payouts must comply with AGCO requirements and the terms set out on this page.
Who can buy a ticket
To purchase a ticket through play-canada.com, you must meet all of the following at the moment of checkout:
- Be 18 years of age or older;
- Be physically located within Canada;
- Not be a member of the board of the operator directly involved in conducting the draw.
Ticket sales
Tickets are sold exclusively online through this website during published sales windows. Sales close one (1) hour before each scheduled draw time. Once an order is confirmed, the sale is final.
Payment is processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party provider. Play Canada does not store full credit or debit card numbers. Each confirmed purchase generates a unique ticket number delivered on-screen and by email.
Draw procedure
Each draw uses a random number generator approved under our AGCO licence. The draw takes place at the published date and time at the operator's facility, in the presence of an independent witness who is not part of the club executive.
The winning ticket number is published on this website within one (1) hour of the draw. A signed attestation from the independent witness is retained for the season record.
Prize claim & payout
The holder of the winning ticket is contacted directly using the email address and phone number provided at purchase. To receive the prize, the winner must:
- Confirm the winning ticket number;
- Provide valid government-issued photo identification;
- Complete any verification steps requested by the operator.
The winner receives 50% of the total pot for that draw. Payout is made by electronic bank transfer or cheque within seven (7) business days of completed verification. The remaining 50% is paid to the operator for charitable purposes.
Unclaimed prizes
If a prize is not claimed within sixty (60) days of the draw, it is held in trust by the operator and handled in accordance with AGCO requirements. Reasonable efforts are made to contact the winner using the details on the ticket.
Cancellation & refunds
If a draw is cancelled, full refunds are issued automatically to the original payment method within fourteen (14) business days of the cancellation announcement. Existing ticket numbers remain valid if the draw is rescheduled.
Privacy & contact
Personal information collected during ticket purchase is used to fulfil the order, contact winners, and meet AGCO reporting obligations. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how data is handled.
