Getting started
Who can buy a Play Canada ticket?
Anyone 18 or older who is physically inside Canada at checkout. We verify location during purchase — it’s required under our licence.
Can I play from outside Canada?
No. Licence RAF1493441 (valid Aug. 01, 2025 — June 30, 2026) limits sales to buyers physically in Canada at the moment of purchase.
Can gym members and volunteers play?
Yes — staff and volunteers can enter. The only restriction is on board members directly involved in running the draw.
Tickets & checkout
When do I get my numbers?
Instantly on the confirmation screen, then again in your email receipt within minutes of payment clearing.
Are ticket sales refundable?
Confirmed orders are final. If a draw is cancelled, every holder is refunded automatically to their original payment method.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Payments run through a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor. Your full card number never touches our servers.
What do tickets cost?
Singles from $5. Bundles drop the per-ticket price to as low as $2 in the Power Pack. Full pricing shows before you pay.
Can I buy for someone else?
You can pay, but each ticket is registered to one name, email, and phone — and only that person can claim a prize.
Draw night
Where do draws happen?
At Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia — 1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd. Times are on the Draw Schedule page.
How is the winner picked?
An AGCO-approved random number generator selects one ticket from all entries sold for that draw, under independent witness.
What if a draw is postponed?
We post the new date here and email every ticket holder. Your existing numbers stay valid.
When are results posted?
Within one hour of the draw on this website. Winners are also contacted directly the same evening.
Prizes & payout
How do I claim my prize?
We reach out using your checkout contact info. Confirm your ticket number and show government photo ID to receive payout.
How fast is payout?
Half the pot goes out by e-transfer or cheque within seven business days of completed verification.
What about unclaimed prizes?
Held in trust and handled per AGCO rules. See our Rules page for the full unclaimed-prize process.
Will winning be made public?
Only with your written consent. We must confirm a winner was paid, but your name and photo are never shared without permission.
Are winnings taxed in Canada?
Raffle winnings are generally not taxable income in Canada. For personal tax advice, speak with an accountant.

Where does the club’s 50% go?
Into Bluewater Gymnastics Club programmes — coaches, equipment, athlete travel, and subsidised spots for local families.
Can I donate without playing?
Yes. Email support@play-canada.com and we’ll connect you with the club’s direct donation options.
